The world star of flutist Silvia Careddu, with the RTS Symphony Orchestra and Srba Dinić
Silvija Karedu, one of the most sought-after flutists today, will perform on October 19, as part of the 56th BEMUS, with the RTS Symphony Orchestra with conductor Srba Dinić, in the Kolarac Concert Hall, starting at 8 p.m.
The audience will be able to hear the Concerto for Flute and Orchestra by Jacques Iber and “Alpine Symphony” by Richard Strauss. Strauss’s “Alpine Symphony” is a unique work. He portrays the beauty of the Bavarian Alps through the music. At the same time, this piece shows the composer’s love for nature and life, as evidenced by his words: “The composition represents moral purification through one’s strength, liberation through work and worship of eternal, magnificent nature.” It is written as a symphonic poem for 125 performers. Strauss completed the symphony after four years of work at the beginning of 1915, and Strauss jokingly commented after finishing the piece: “I have finally learned orchestration”.
