The RTS Choir will perform this year at the “Mokranjčevi dani” festival, which is being held for the 56th time in Negotin, the hometown of Serbian music great Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac.
This ensemble, together with maestro Bojan Sudjic, will perform one of the most beautiful works of the spiritual tradition – “Concerto for Choir” by Alfred Schnittke, which musicologists say is a work in which the composer tried “to convey the moral and spiritual problems of the modern man deeply and in detail”. The composition was based on the text of Gregor von Narek.
The concert will be held in the Church of the Holy Trinity on September 15, at 8 p.m.
