Opera na vodi and Belgrade Waterfront are organizing the fifth jubilee edition of “Opera na vodi” this year. The program is scheduled for September 8 and 9, starting at 8:30 p.m. on the plateau near the Geozavod. The five-year anniversary will be celebrated in a trendy way with open-air concerts that are truly exclusive in all the world’s capitals. This anniversary confirms that Belgrade and Serbia represent the capital of culture and art.
On the first day, the program features Giacomo Puccini’s opera Bohemi, a story of passion, love and greed, in an open-air opera setting never before seen, with prima donna Aida Garifulina in the role of Mimi, accompanied by tenor Matteo Roma, baritone Željko Lučić, and accompanied by a choir, soloists and ballet of the National Opera from Timisoara and maestro Dejan Savić. For the first time, this year, a special amphitheater that has not been seen here before will be installed which will turn the Plateau of the Geozavod into a real opera stage.
On the second evening of the event, the Radio Television of Serbia Symphony Orchestra and Choir, accompanied by maestro Srba Dinić, will perform a unique film music concert. The audience will have the rare opportunity to enjoy music from the most popular blockbusters such as James Bond 007, Stars Wars, Game of Thrones, Pink Panther and many others in an unusual setting.
Both evenings will be with spectacular special stage effects and a Gala Opening Ceremony, as well as a special Opera Garden area.
