The RTS Choir opens its 85 season with the music of Svetislav Božić

The Radio Television of Serbia Choir will begin its jubilee, 85th year, with a concert on January 16, starting at 7 p.m., in the Church of Saint Simeon. The audience will have the opportunity, to hear Opelo in G minor for mixed choir by Svetislav Božić, composed in 1993. The work premiered in Studenica Monastery in 1994 and is dedicated to the painful fates of the Serbian people, tired without number, crucified at all ages in the most brutal ways. The Ton archipelago was born with an immeasurable cry, and with lyrical devotions, it is turned, to the Resurrection, to life and not to death. Jerej Aleksandar Sekulić will perform as a soloist at the concert, and Hadži Jakov Milutinović will conduct the concert.
