Dejan Roković

Editor-in-chief of the symphony music department

He graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Petar Ivanović. He furthured his studies at viola seminars in Hungary (prof. Uta Wylezol from the Dresden Conservatory), as well as at string quartet seminars (prof. Sándor Devich from the Budapest Conservatory). In Warsaw (Poland) he was engaged in an orchestra along with other selected musicians from around the world.

He is the founder of the Belgrade String Quartet, along with which he has performed at numerous concerts in Serbia as well aborad, including in New York, Washington D.C. (USA), London (UK), Treviso, Istrana, Venice, Florence, Trieste (Italy), Skopje (North Macedonia) and Bamberg (Germany), and has released three CDs. With the same quartet, he was an active participant in the renowned Amadeus Quartet seminar in London (UK). He has also performed actively as a soloist. In addition to numerous concerts held domestically, he has created permanent recordings for Radio Belgrade and Radio Novi Sad.

He has been the principal violist of the RTS Symphony Orchestra for many years.

He has been the first violist of various chamber orchestras, such as Simfonieta, the Royal Strings of St. George, and the Balkan Chamber Orchestra (under the direction of Toshino Yanagisawa), along with which he has performed on national concert stages, as well as on noteable tours internationally in Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Japan, Albania, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and other countries.

He was a member of the festival opera orchestra at the Puccini Festival in Terra del Lago Puccini (Italy).

He is the co-founder of the music institution Rocher, as a part of which which he has held perfomances and concerts in a duo, quartet and ensemble at many national and international festivals.

He is a full member of Matica Srpska and the Association of Musical Artists of Serbia (UMUS).

He is also involved in pedagogical work.

Since October 2025, he has held the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Symphonic Music Department of the RTS Music Production.
