One of today’s leading pianists, Denis Matsuev, will appear as a soloist with the RTS Symphony Orchestra at a concert in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment on April 22. The audience will have the opportunity to hear, in his interpretation, one of the most famous works of the concerto repertoire—Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. On the same evening, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Suite No. 3 will also be performed. The concert will be conducted by Dejan Savić.
Since winning the 11th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1998, Denis Matsuev’s career has followed a steady upward trajectory. He is a laureate of numerous competitions and the recipient of the highest prestigious state awards. His performances are widely discussed as a phenomenon, and critics describe him as a “genius of the piano and a giant of classical music.”
