Kanjiža traditionally celebrates Municipality Day on October 20th. This date is associated with the celebration of the struggle during the liberation from the Turks. This holiday is an opportunity to present public awards, alongside various and high-quality cultural and social programs as a gift from the Municipality of Kanjiža to its dear citizens.

On this occasion, the citizens of Kanjiža will, among other things, have the chance to enjoy a spectacular musical event on Thursday, October 20th, starting at 6:00 PM, at the House of Arts, where they will experience a concert by the renowned jazz orchestra, the RTS Big Band. The program will feature selected film music pieces arranged for the big band ensemble.

The RTS Big Band, founded in 1948, is one of the most significant artistic ensembles in our country. From the very beginning, it has operated as a large jazz orchestra in the Big Band formation. The ensemble represents the highest artistic achievements in jazz music, with the highest standards in performing this genre.
