If you are a fan of good concerts, then the new concert of the RTS Symphony Orchestra is the right opportunity for you to come. The soloist will be violinist Roman Simović, one of the best violinists of his generation. In his performance, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to “Concerto for violin and orchestra” by Samuel Barber, a piece that is one of the most performed concerts of the 20th century. From Barber’s opus, the famous “Adagio” will be performed, which some critics have called “the perfection of music composed for string instruments”, recognizing in it the “richness of hidden passion”. On the same evening, the audience will have the opportunity to hear the Symphonic suite “Scheherazade” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The story from “One Thousand and One Nights” about the famous sailor Sinbad, told by the main character – the beautiful Scheherazade, served as inspiration for the creation of this work. This symphonic work, rich in sound, belongs to the standard repertoire of large orchestral ensembles.
Srboljub Dinić, chief guest conductor of the RTS Symphony Orchestra, will conduct the concert, which is scheduled for October 1, at 8 p.m., in the Kolarac Concert Hall.
Tickets are on sale at the box office of the Kolarac endowment.
