The famous Dutch trumpeter, composer, and arranger Jan van Duikeren will be a guest of RTS Big Band for the first time at the concert on March 23, 2023, in the Belgrade Youth Center. With a recognizable sound and energetic lyrical approach, he is, according to Quincy Jones, an extremely respected soloist and one of the best Dutch jazz musicians today.
He has collaborated with many artists: Joe Bonamassa, Peter Maffay, Lionel Richie, James Carter, Michelle Camilo, Sheila E, Dave Stewart, Diana Ross, and Candy Dulfer. Jan van Duikeren presents his original compositions and arrangements for the big band, and during the concert, a mini-tribute to the great Ak van Rojen, the Dutch trumpet legend, will also be performed.
This concert is realized as part of the program-business cooperation between RTS Music Production and Belgrade Youth Center. For the 75th year, Big Band RTS has been a representative of top artistic talent in jazz music, with the highest standards in the performance of this type of music. Belgrade Youth Center, an institution that has been organizing the Belgrade Jazz Festival since 1971 – the oldest and most internationally respected Serbian jazz festival, continuously works on promoting jazz music as an art form and supports the Serbian jazz scene. Until the end of the year, the audience will jointly present more exceptional artistic programs performed by the RTS Big Band and prominent domestic and foreign soloists and composers, who will perform as special guests.
Tickets are available at the Belgrade Youth Center Box Office and online at Tickets.rs for 1000 RSD.
