The Radio Television of Serbia Big Band, with its chief conductor Stjepko Gut, will hold a concert dedicated to Dusko Gojković at this year’s “Nisville” jazz festival, on August 14, on the main stage, starting at 8:30 p.m.
The RTS Big Band is also the winner of this year’s lifetime achievement award given by the “Nisville” festival. This award is given for the first time to a collective. To RTS Big Band, an ensemble which has been actively present on the concert stage for more than seven decades, and which has given many top jazz musicians known both on the domestic and foreign scene. The award will be presented to the RTS Big Band on August 13 at the City Hall in Niš. This is a tribute not only to the musicians who make up today’s RTS Big Band, but also to all former jazzers who were part of this ensemble.
