RTS Choir with two concerts at the “Musical Edict” festival in Niš

The Choir of the Radio Television of Serbia will hold two concerts this year as part of the eighth International Sacred Music Festival “Musical Edict”, which this year will host 17 choirs from 12 countries of the world, including Serbia, Spain, Italy, Germany, Palestine, India, Romania, Montenegro, Vatican City, Republika Srpska, Poland, North Macedonia. The RTS Choir will open this prestigious choral event with a festive concert on June 4, in the Cathedral complex, starting at 7:30 p.m., where together with the Niš church choir “Branko”, the Choir of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, the Macedonian Philharmonic, vocal soloists and a pianist Andrej Cincarević, led by conductor Hadži Jakov Milutinović, performed Beethoven’s “Fantasia for piano, choir and orchestra”. On June 5, under the vaults of the Nis Cathedral, starting at 8:30 p.m., the RTS Choir, led by conductor Bojan Suđić, will perform Alfred Schnittke’s “Concert for a Choir”, one of the most demanding and monumental works of the entire world choral literature.
