Today marks 65 years since television broadcasting began in Serbia. Radio-Television of Serbia is celebrating the anniversary with a full evening entertainment program, which viewers will be able to watch live on RTS 1 after the 7 PM news.
In the “Jevremovac” Botanical Garden in Belgrade, a ceremonial reception will be organized for those who have contributed to the work of RTS over the past six and a half decades, accompanied by music and moving images. We will look back at the rich and turbulent television history, but also learn about the plans for the future of one of the largest media institutions in the region.
Viewers will also be able to see how Radio-Television of Serbia is diligently working to preserve its rich archive: we will watch the digitally restored and remastered “Utakmica” (The Match) – the third episode of the legendary series “Više od igre” (More Than a Game).
After the series, we will enjoy the greatest hits of film and television music performed by the RTS Big Band and the best interpreters of domestic popular music.
