With the winter holidays approaching, this year the RTS Choir and Symphony Orchestra have prepared for you a major piece of vocal and instrumental music – Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach. This composition originated from the pen of one of the greatest composers of the Baroque and announces and celebrates Christ’s birth, and on this occasion will be performed for the first time in Belgrade after decades. Join us in celebrating and saying goodbye to the year 2019 in the most solemn way, with the outstanding soloists from the country and abroad and maestro Bojan Suđić, on 28 December, at the Grand Hall of the Kolarac Endowment.

The Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach was preformed for the first time in 1734, shortly before the most joyous Christian holiday, the birth of Christ. More than 100 years had to pass so that the audience could hear it again.

In anticipation of a performance of this complex and beautiful composition, we invite you to join the concert that will be presented by the RTS Symphony Orchestra and the Choir and its prominent soloists and Maestro Bojan Suđić.

Join us on 28 December at the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment, starting at 8 pm. Let’s sing a few themes of this great piece also after the concert!
