RTS Symphony Orchestra opens the Season on Kolarac
RTS Symphony Orchestra will open new concert season with two concerts in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment, on September 23th and 24th. With this concerts will start evening concert season at Kolarac. On the program of the RTS Symphony Orchestra, on the Wednesday, September 23, at 8 pm will be “Wiener Philharmoniker Fanfare“ by Richard Strauss, “Fanfare“ Aaron Copland and two compositions by Chris Hazel, “Three Brass Cats“ and “Kraken“ as well as Beethoven`s “Octet for Winds in E-flat major, Op 103“, a work which will give the audience the opportunity to get acquainted with the early work of this composer.
On the following evening concert, on Thursday September 24, at 8 pm, will be performed “Chamber Symphony in C minor, Op. 110 a“ by Dmitri Shostakovich, as well as “Carmen Suite for Strings and Percussion“ by Rodion Shchedrin, compositions that in their chamber sound in a special way, reveal the sound worlds of two important composers of the 20th century music, recognizable to the audience by the beauty and fullness of symphony music.
