The RTS Symphony Orchestra will perform at the opening of the 51st BEMUS
The RTS Symphony Orchestra will perform at the opening of the 51st BEMUS, along with Angela Georgia, one of the leading sopranos of today. The artist’s career is related to the largest opera houses in the world, among which are the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London, the Vienna State Opera and the Scala in Milan, and the critics most often compare it with the famous Maria Callas. Angela Georgije’s repertoire is marked by the main roles of the soprano fah, primarily from the opera G. Puccini, who will also present herself to the Belgrade audience. Also, the audience will have the opportunity to hear selected arias and duets from the opera F. Chile, G. Bizet, U. Giordano, and A. Catalana. Romanian tenor Charles Castronov will perform as a guest of the concert. In addition to these works, the RTS Symphony Orchestra will perform the “Ceremonial Overture” by D. Shostakovich, overture for the opera “Ruslan and Ludmila” by M. Glinka, “Fantasy on Serbian topics” N. Rimsky Korsakov, as well as the “Symphonic Prelude” G. Pucchini. The concert will be held at the Kolarac Endowment, on October 6, starting at 8 pm, and will be conducted by maestro Bojan Sudjic.
