The successful cooperation between the RTS Music Production and Belgrade Youth Center continues in the fall season, in the Great Hall of Youth Center, on Friday, September 30, starting at 8 p.m., with a special concert program in partnership with the Faculty of Music, which will mark ten years since the founding of the Department of Jazz and Popular Music at FMU.

RTS Big Band, one of the most important artistic ensembles in our country, is an important reference in the work of local jazz musicians, especially young people. FMU students have been gaining experience and practice for years by cooperating with this large orchestra, and often their professors are also guests at Big Band concerts.

Also, since the establishment of the Department of Jazz and Popular Music, there has been continuous cooperation.

The Faculty of Music Arts and the Belgrade Youth Center – Belgrade Jazz Festival, concert series “JAZZ FOR DJ” and other programs are an opportunity for students to present their work to a wider audience and receive adequate attention at the beginning of their career.

The “It’s time for Jazz” concert, on September 30 in the Youth Center of Belgrade, will be an opportunity to mark the first 10 years of work of the FMU jazz department, as well as the long-term cooperation of all three institutions. With the RTS Big Band, the professors of the Department of Jazz and Popular Music of FMU will perform as special guests – soloists, and the program will include their compositions and some of the favorite jazz standards.
