Denis Matsuev with the RTS Symphony Orchestra and maestro Dejan Savić
Start the year with the sound of top interpretations! The world pianist star – Denis Matsuev will perform with the RTS Symphony Orchestra at the concert that will be held, on January 25 in the Great Hall of the Kolarc Endowment. Matsujev will present to the Belgrade audience one of the most demanding works, the famous “Second Concerto for Piano and Orchestra” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, piece that has excited the audience with its power and poetics since its premiere in 1902. It is also an opportunity to find out, why critics call Matsuev a representative of the real Russian school of performers – Volodos, Kissin, and Gilels and announce him as the “new Horovitz”. On the same evening, “Serenade No. 1, in D major, op. 11” by Johannes Brahms, a composition that stirred the audience at the premiere, and the long-lasting applause behind each of the six movements was so strong that it did not subside until the composer took the stage.
