RADIO TELEVISION OF SERBIA’S CHOIR AT THE OPENING OF THE 31ST INTERNATIONAL “IMAGO” FESTIVAL IN LJUBLJANA
The Choir of Radio Television of Serbia will be performing at a festive concert in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on the occasion of the opening of 31st International “Imago” festival – Slovenia, which this year is being dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the “Forum of Slavic Cultures”, an international foundation, with its central idea focused on the representation of joint cultural, educational and research projects promoting Slavic cultural heritage and creativity.
Along with the Choir of Radio Television of Serbia, the Croatian Radio Television Choir and the Slovene National Theatre Symphony Orchestra from Maribor will also be performing at the concert, which will be held on the 11th of June at 8.30 pm, at the Congress Square in Ljubljana.
Entitled the Slavic Rhapsody, works of composers from thirteen Slavic countries will be performed as part of the concert programme, including Mykola Vitaliyovych Lysenko, Henryk Wieniawski, Antonín Dvořák, Eugen Suchoň, Bedřich Smetana, Pancho Vladigerov, Jakov Gotovac, Aleksandra Pakhmutova, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Borodin and Stevan Mokranjac, with the Ninth Garland, as well as sections from the Second, Tenth and Fifth Garland from his opus being performed.
Alina Yarovaya, soprano, Aljaz Farasin, tenor and Nikola Pajanovic, violin, will be performing as soloists. The concert will be conducted by Slaven Kulenovic and Bojan Sudjic.
