DUNJA KALAMIR AND ALEKSANDRA KINDJIC AT THE NEW CONCERT FROM THE „PREMIERES“ CYCLE
The new concert from RTS Symphony Orchestra’s “Premieres” cycle presents two talented artists who are among the winners of the “Young and Successful” competition organized by RTS Music production.
We’ll be hearing Dunja Kalamir as a soloist in Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61”. She’ll be performing the concerto which was dedicated by the author to his friend, the composer and violin virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate, who also played the solo section at the 1880 premiere. Oboist Aleksandra Kinđić will be presenting herself to the audience on the same evening, and she’ll be performing the “Oboe Concerto in D minor” from composer and oboist Ludwig August Lebrun. This creator has written a vast number of pieces for his instrument, aspiring to present his entire spectrum of expressive capabilities.
Svetislav Božić’ piece “The Coronation in Žiča”, inspired by Serbian spiritual culture and tradition, will also be performed at the concert which is to be held at the Great Hall of Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment on Thursday the 12th of December at 8 pm. The audience will also have the chance of hearing two suites from George Bizet’s “L’Arlésienne”, both consisting of the music which the author had written for Alphonse Daudet’s melodrama by the same name, on the same evening. The concert will be conducted by Stanko Jovanović.
