LUIS GORELIK AND LAZAR MILETIC AT NEW CONCERT OF “PREMIERE” CYCLE
At the new concert from the cycle “Premiere”, in the season 2019/2020, which will be held on February 20, at 8 pm, in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment, will be introduced the guest of RTS Symphony Orchestra, conductor Luis Gorelik, who conducts today some of the most important orchestra ensembles in the world.
At the concert will be for the first time performed the composition Black Light / Invisible Light by Branka Popovic, selected at the Competition for Composers of RTS Music Production, in which the author explores the effect that music can cause on the audience, concluding that “music touches the listener and provokes in it reaction (depending on his overall experience, various associations, thoughts, emotions). ”
The same evening, young violinist Lazar Miletic, selected at the Young and Successful RTS Music Production Contest, will be introduced to the audience. He will perform as a soloist in the Viola Concerto and Anton Hofmeister’s D-Major Orchestra, a creator who has earned the respect of his colleague contemporaries for the originality of his works and his good knowledge of the instruments he wrote for. Also, Lazar Miletic will perform the famous theme from John Williams’ movie Schindler’s List, playing the original violin part on the viola.
In addition to the aforementioned two works, the RTS Symphony Orchestra will also perform the Second Symphony of Jan Sibelius, which the composer himself said that it represents “the recognition of his soul.” At a very successful premiere on which played Helsinki Philharmonic, the composer conducted, and the tickets, due to the success of his Finnish symphonic poem, were sold out long before the concert.
A new concert from the “Premiere” cycle will also be presented to the audience in Smederevo, at the Cultural Center, on February 21, starting at 8 pm.
