THE SYMPHONIC POEM “FOR LIFE AND PEACE” BY IVAN JEVTIC OPENS A NEW SEASON OF CONCERT CYCLE “PREMIERES”
One of the most attractive cycles of the RTS Symphony Orchestra concerts – “Premieres”, from the 2018/2019 season, will begin with the premiere performance of a new piece by composer Ivan Jevtic “For Life and Peace”. It is a composition that carries an anti-war message, and the author found the inspiration for its creation in the musical tradition of the Slovenian people.
At the concert, which will be held on 3rd October at 8 pm in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment, two exceptional young artists, winners of numerous awards at eminent national and international competitions, will be presented to the audience. We will listen to the horn player Teodor Blagojevic as a soloist in the “Horn Concerto No. 1” by Richard Strauss, while pianist Aleksandar Raos will be presented with “Piano Concerto No. 2” by Sergei Rachmaninoff. The RTS Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Olivera Sekulic – Barac.
