RTS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OPENS 51st BEMUS
RTS Symphony Orchestra will perform at the opening of the 51st BEMUS, with Angela Georgia, one of the leading sopranos of today. This artist’s career is tied to the world’s largest opera theaters, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Covent Garden in London, the Vienna State Opera and the Teatro alla Scala, most often compared to the famous Maria Callas. The repertoire of Angela Georgio is marked by the main roles of soprano fach, primarily from the opera G. Puccini, which will be presented to the Belgrade audience. Also, the audience will have the opportunity to hear selected arias and duets from Opera F. Chile, G. Bizet, U. Giordano, A. Catalani. Romanian tenor Charles Castronov will be the guest at the concert. In addition to all mentioned RTS Symphony Orchestra will perform a “Ceremonial Overture” D. Shostakovich, Overture for the opera “Ruslan and Ludmila” by M. Glinka, “Fantasy on Serbian Topics” N. Rimsky Korsakov, as well as “Symphony Prelude” by G. Pucchini. The concert will be held at the Kolarac Concert Hall on October 6, starting at 8 pm, conducted by maestro Bojan Sudjic.
