RTS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND JASMINKA STANCUL ON BEMUS
The RTS Symphony Orchestra and maestro Bojan Sudjic will hold a concert as part of the 52nd BEMUS, on Wednesday, November 11. As a soloist in Beethoven’s “Third Concerto for Piano and Orchestra”, we will listen to pianist Jasminka Stančul.
In addition to this important piece of concert literature, “Seventh Symphony” will be performed from Beethoven’s oeuvre, and the concert will begin with the premiere performance of the composition “Heal, Jesus, my wounds”, for soprano and symphony orchestra, by the recently deceased Serbian composer Isidora Zebeljan. Soprano Aneta Ilic will perform as a soloist in the performance of this work.
Today, pianist Jasminka Stancul is considered one of the most important interpreters of Ludwig van Beethoven’s music. Already at the beginning of her professional career, she won the First Prize at the International Competition “Beethoven” in Vienna, which elevated her to the very top of art and cooperation as a soloist with the world’s most important orchestras. She is a frequent guest of important festivals and regularly performs with conductor Gustav Kuhn at the Tyrolean festival “Earl”. A pianist with a special affinity for chamber music, she is a regular member of the Brahms Trio from Vienna, a close associate of the Vienna String Quartet, and often plays in a duo with violinists Christian Altenburger, Julian Rachlin, Nikolaj Znaider, cellist Franz Bartolome and many other performers. Her most recently released discographic recordings for the Austrian record label Col Colno include Beethoven’s First and Fifth Piano Concertos and Mozart’s Concertos KV 271 and KV 595.
